As with everything else, discs ware out. We carry the four highly used replacement discs. Color and description are:
Silver: The Silver Coarse Grit Disc is a 2″ diameter flat steel disc coated with a heat infused heavy tungsten carbide CG grit. The Silver Disc is the most aggressive abrasive disc we have. This disc was designed for the toughest of hooves or animals that are infrequently trimmed and have overgrown, long, unruly hooves in both goats and sheep.
Blue: The Blue Medium Grit Disc is a 2″ diameter flat steel disc coated with a heat infused tungsten carbide CG grit. The disc is designed to remove hoof material through abrasion. The blue disc is best suited for the hooves of most average size goats, sheep and pigs that are maintained on a frequent basis.
Gold: The Gold Fine Grit Disc is a 2″ diameter flat steel disc coated with a heat infused tungsten carbide CG grit. The Gold Disc has a fine grit that allows you to gently buff away hoof material. The Gold Disc is a must have if you own miniature animals or for the first trimmings of baby animals.
Purple: The Purple Dome Top Fine Grit Disc is a 2″ diameter rounded steel disc coated with a heat infused tungsten carbide MCM raised grit. The purple disc was designed to be used after trimming your animal with the 4-Tooth Chain Disc to smooth out the hoof wall and even up the sole.
